Up for sale is the exact item shown in the photos – a striking and collectible sterling silver proof medal issued in 1976 by the International Society of Postmasters, minted by The Franklin Mint, to commemorate Denmark’s first international stamp exhibition, HAFNIA 76, held in Copenhagen.
This official commemorative set includes a silver medal and a Danish 1.30 kr. stamp, both issued and postmarked on June 17, 1976 in Copenhagen.

Obverse: Intricately detailed image of a 19th-century Danish mail coach ("ball-post") in motion, based on the historic postal service scene.
Reverse: Commemorative text (English & French) honoring the International Stamp Show – HAFNIA 76.
Stamp: Danish 1.30 kr. commemorative issue featuring a scene from Otto Bache’s celebrated painting "A String of Horses Outside an Inn", depicting a mail coach driver. The stamp is part of a souvenir sheet issued for the event.
Postmark: Official First Day cancellation from Copenhagen, dated June 17, 1976, including a special portrait of Otto Bache.
Condition: Proof strike – crisp, mirror-like surfaces and frosted details. Comes with its original presentation folder, certificate of authenticity, and full bilingual historical insert.
